Caffe Ladro

I know I just posted about my new favorite chai but I should explain that I have room in my heart for all the chai tea lattes in the world haha. My Instagram post was about Amore Coffee’s chai and I will hopefully be talking about that cute little place soon but for today let’s talk about Caffé Ladro!

            Caffé Ladro is without a doubt one of my favorite places to visit in Kirkland. They actually have locations in Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, Bothell and a bunch all over Seattle! I have truthfully only been to the Kirkland location and I go their specifically because it’s a short walk to the water front! It’s a colorful location and has a fairly small lobby and minimum outdoor seating but I never have an issue finding room at a table. I really only go when I’m in a ‘treat yourself’ kind of mood because few things make me happier than reading with a view. Now I know I try to make it a point to get a variety of drinks from a place before talking about it, but given the mood I’m usually in when I go to Caffe Ladro, I will nine times out of ten get an iced chai and not an americano. It’s probably been over a  year since I got an americano from there and it’s not because I didn’t enjoy it, but because their chais are that much better! I exclusively drink iced chais and the fun thing about this place is they offer a spicy chai and a sweeter chai. The barista will always ask you which you’d prefer and while I’m not usually a fan of the spicier ones, when the barista asked if I wanted to do a mix of the two, I was intrigued and said why not?! As you can probably guess, I was a huge fan. The sweet one does a good job at making sure the spice isn’t overwhelming but the spice also allows you to not get a huge dose of sugar. From that point on I made sure to always order the mix. 

The very last time I went, I received another awesome suggestion from the barista about trying a BLENDED iced chai. This particular day was very hot so of course I said yes. I forgot to mention that this wonderful place offers oat milk so blended drinks actually blend well and taste amazingggg. I also enjoy the fact that the baristas are always friendly, approachable and give me such creative suggestions! I don’t have much else to say about Caffe Ladro, other than that I always leave with a smile! Check it out if you get the chance J

Sé que acabo de publicar sobre mi nuevo chai favorito, pero debo explicar que tengo espacio en mi corazón para todos los lattes de té chai en el mundo haha. Mi publicación de Instagram fue sobre el chai de Amore Coffee y espero hablar pronto sobre ese lindo y pequeño lugar, pero por hoy hablemos sobre Caffé Ladro.

Caffé Ladro es sin duda uno de mis lugares favoritos para visitar en Kirkland. ¡En realidad tienen ubicaciones en Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, Bothell y muchos en todo Seattle! Sinceramente, solo he estado en la ubicación de Kirkland y voy específicamente porque está a una corta distancia a pie del mar. Es una ubicación colorida y tiene un vestíbulo bastante pequeño y un mínimo de asientos al aire libre, pero nunca tengo problemas para encontrar espacio en una mesa. Realmente solo voy cuando estoy en un estado de ánimo de "date un capricho" porque pocas cosas me hacen más feliz que leer con una vista. Sé que trato de conseguir una variedad de bebidas de un lugar antes de hablar de ello, pero dado el estado de ánimo en el que estoy cuando voy a Caffe Ladro, nueve de cada diez obtendré un chai y no un americano. Probablemente haya pasado más de un año desde que obtuve un americano de allí y no es porque no lo haya disfrutado, ¡sino porque su chais son mucho mejor! Bebo exclusivamente chais helado y lo divertido de este lugar es que ofrecen un chai picante y un chai más dulce. El barista siempre te preguntará cuál prefieres y, aunque no soy una fanática de los más picantes, cuando el barista me preguntó si quería hacer una mezcla de los dos, me intrigó y dije: ¿por qué no? Como probablemente puedas adivinar, me encanto! El dulce hace un buen trabajo al asegurarse de que la especia no sea abrumadora, pero la especia también le permite no obtener una gran dosis de azúcar. A partir de ese momento, me aseguré de pedir siempre la mezcla.

La última vez que fui, recibí otra sugerencia increíble del barista sobre probar un chai helado MEZCLADO. Este día en particular fue muy caluroso, así que por supuesto dije que sí. Olvidé mencionar que este maravilloso lugar ofrece leche de avena, por lo que las bebidas mezcladas se mezclan bien y tienen un sabor increíble. ¡También disfruto el hecho de que los baristas son siempre amigables, accesibles y me dan sugerencias creativas! ¡No tengo mucho más que decir sobre Caffe Ladro, aparte de eso, siempre me voy con una sonrisa! Compruébalo si tienes la oportunidad.
